First off, check out amazon's own brand all new leather Kindle 3 cover.  Ordinarily I might steer away from own brand accessories, but in this case it is a genuinely great product at a reasonable price and here's why:

• Decent quality pebble grained leather exterior.  This offers good protection for the device and means it will wear well.
• Soft microfiber lining inside to protect the display against scratches and keep dust away from your fabulous new gadget!

• Choice of seven brilliant colors (black, chocolate brown, burgundy red, hot pink, apple green, burnt orange and steel blue), allows you to put a little of your own style into your leather Kindle 3 cover.

Now, whilst I love the Kindle 3 Cover above (and am particularly partial to the price), I cannot help wondering if it would be better sense to spend a little more and choose the amazon Kindle 3 Lighted Leather Cover.

The thing is you get the same great design with one massive improvement - a reading light that does NOT need batteries. The clever geeks over at amazon have used gold in the hinge system at the spine of their original leather Kindle 3 cover to allow a small current to pass through from the device itself into a light! Genius!

That means you get a well positioned reading light that you do not need to keep remembering to buy or charge batteries for. It is such a clever idea I cannot believe it hasn't been done before, but still here it is at last! 

I guess that's the thing about great ideas, we always think someone must have already thought of them!

If you enjoy reading in bed or just quietly in a subtly lit room you will already know how important it is to have a reading light.  Incorporating one so simply into your new Kindle 3 leather cover is a simple way to read without distracting your partner late into the evening.

So, the all important question - can I buy pink Kindle 3 Covers?  And, the all important answer - yes of course my dear!  The leather Kindle 3 cover with or without the book-light comes in hot pink - fabulous darling!

Well, thanks to the price-drop for the new Kindle 3 it seems these eBook Readers are now being bought for a younger audience. No I haven't done any sales surveys - you can tell quite simply due to the increasing number of bright young funky Kindle Covers being released.
